The single biggest thing you can do is share what you learn here with someone who needs it. But there are many other ways to help spread awareness and grow this work — pick the one that fits.
Ninety percent of what we do gets to the people who need it because someone told them. Text a family member. Share our site on Instagram, WhatsApp, or Facebook. Post it in your neighborhood group or your family group chat. This is the single most impactful thing anyone can do for us.
Community centers, libraries, gurdwaras, mosques, churches, temples, laundromats, coffee shops, apartment complex bulletin boards, school pickup areas. Anywhere people wait — the yellow envelope isn't going to explain itself to them, but a poster can.
If you know a community clinic, faith center, school, library, or immigrant services organization that could use our resources — introduce us. One email connecting us to a decision-maker there can multiply our reach by an order of magnitude.
We run monthly in-person awareness events in California communities. Volunteers help set up, hand out multilingual materials, and answer basic renewal questions from attendees. Bilingual volunteers — especially Spanish, Chinese, Punjabi, Vietnamese, Tagalog, and Korean speakers — are always needed.
Our site is available in nine languages, and the automated translation gets us most of the way. But before public launch we want native speakers to review the wording — especially health terminology — for accuracy and cultural clarity. If you're fluent in any of our supported languages, an hour of your time makes a real difference.
Even a single share matters. If you're active on social media, follow our accounts and share our posts when they show up in your feed. Reposting an awareness event, a renewal reminder, or one of our blog posts helps reach families who wouldn't otherwise see it.
If you used the site and something didn't work, was confusing, or wasn't there — tell us. Anonymous feedback goes straight into our improvement backlog. It's the fastest way to make sure this tool actually helps people who need it.
Fill this out and we'll respond within one business day. Or just email accessmedcalifornia@gmail.com.
You don't need to volunteer or run an event to make a difference. Forward this site to one person who might need it — that's genuinely enough.
